wonderful news!

Ok,
I know I have been quiet lately, but I have been here reading and sucking up all the information I can!!
Good news here....I was worried about hospital bills and how to pay all of them, even though I have decent insurance. Well, I discovered our hospital has a "bridge" program, where after filling out lots of paperwork, you can qualify for a discount on your leftover balance. From looking at their list, and comparing numbers, I thought we MIGHT qualify for a 75% discount of what we owed, leaving us with only 25% left. (Not bad, plus it is good for 6 months, so it would include my TAH/BSO) Well we got a letter the other day stating that due to family size (we are a family of 5) we qualify for 100% coverage!!!!
YEAH!!! So the only bills I will have after my TAH/BSO is my dr (whom I have already made arrangements to pay whats left in installments) and my annethiesiologist (sp?) who as also agreed to take payments! I know this is LONG, but I am SO happy, that gives me SUCH peace of mind knowing I can relax and recoup without the worry of money. If you got this far Thanks for letting me ramble. Now to see if the hystersysters shirt will fit!

Wow Dawnie, that is wonderful news! I'm so happy for you , medical bills can be draining. Now you can relax and have one less thing to worry about.

That is so great. The last thing you need to worry about is how much. At this point in time I don't care. I will be glad when it is over. But I am definately going to check to see if the hospital I am going to has that type of program!!!
