Really bad gas pain

Hi this is my first time here. I wish i would have known about this site before my surgery. This is a big help. Its nice to know what's normal. But i have a question. I am having really bad gas pain. I have had two BM since the surgery jan 29 that were screaming painful. The stool is soft. Taking stool softeners, drinking plenty and gasX. I must stetch when I sleep because i wake up in pain. Could I do damage when i stretch. I hurt the next day from it? Any sugestions for gas and painful BM? I would be thankful for any help. Had a LAVH cervics removed also.

I walked alot and took gas x for gas. I bought generic walmart brand it worked just as good as name brand. Hope you feel better

I have been taking gasX and it doesn't work neither does walking. Anything else that can be done? I'm bent over in pain.

I'd read on here where some lady said her doc told her to go sit on the toliet with a cup of hot tea and sip at it. Worth a try I guess. She said it helped the gas come out. I know gas pain hurts hope something helps ya hun.

Walk as much as you can and move your stomach a little. I found it easy to lift legs in position like giving birth and lifting bottom to release gas. Gas x extra strength help and so did milk of magnesia for cramping..It calmed it down.

I found that I have to take the stool softener every night before bed or I suffer. As long as I take the stool softener, I am good to go. My mother swears that when she gets constipated she takes fresh strawberries and bananas and mashes them together and eats it. She says that not only is it OH so yummy but her constipation is relieved. I have never tried this because I hate bananas. My brother agrees that it works as well. If you try it let me know.
