Anal pain at one week post-op

Had hysterectomy a week ago and I'm experiencing pain in my anus when I pass gas or have a bowel movement. Anyone else having this type of pain.

No not yet! But I just took some miralax and my stomach is rolling... LOL... I been passing some mad gas too! I got to go but I'm almost scared cuz I it's gonna hurt. I just need to quit holding it and go!

corine--What type of pain. LIke a sharp pain or like a BM wants to come out but its not there type of pain?

I had my surgery a week ago too and experience pain in my anus before I really have to go and when I go ....it seems I get the urge quite while before I can really go. I have been going like two three times a day .... but get the urge too a lot before I really have too......

stay on the stool softeners, again this might be TMI, but I made sure when I wiped, I used pure vitamin e cream. I had bouts of diahreah (sp) and constipation, so my bum hurt, but it helped keep the hemmoroids(sp) at bay.

I had that kind of pain for a couple of weeks. It gets better. If it doesn't call the Dr. Like everybody else says stay on the stool softeners and sip plenty of water. I also found that eating small amounts more often seemed to help. If you can eat more fiber without getting bloaty that will help too. Another TMI, Albolene cleanser (it's a make up remover) is great for cleaning your bum after you go, especially if it gets irritated. A dermatologist recommended it to me.

Please don't hold back any gas take a deep breathe and let go. It's funny I have never appreciated my ability to pass gas so easily before. I find that it's getting easier.

Yes I'm with Corine but also bask in the fact that at this time you can actually make you DH go "oomph"
