Wed April 27, 05 I have My Hysterctomy

Good morning to all!!!!

I want to thank each and everyone for this impressive site. Very informative, full of compassion and good humor.

Well, in two days I will be having my hysterectomy and to tell you the truth… I’m kind of relieved but at the same time full of doubt. Yes doubt!!!!!!!!!... Because, I won’t be able to have children. I have a wonderful daughter ( 13 ). She’s the most beautiful person that I know ( inside and out ). I know….I know….I’ve had a child already, so why should I feel so guilty??????? I don’t know ( very confused ).
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis right after she was born. Very severe!!! and they said that it was a miracle that I was able to conceive. After she was born I started having problems, like: irregular bleeding, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome ) so on and so forth. For the past six years I’ve programming my operation, but for one reason or another it has not come to pass.

I want to thank you for all the information: from what to take, to what to expect after surgery. I’m scared, confused and frustrated, so many emotions. But all of the articles that I’ve read have calmed and made me realize that I’m not alone.

Your beautiful daughter is very lucky to have such a brave Mom that is full of strength. By the sounds of your post, your daughter has received her inner beauty for you. Good for you being such a proud Mom, that itself will give you strength to get through the next few weeks.
