Sharp Stabbing Pains from bellybutton down through vagina

I am 14 days post op from having all but my ovaries removed. I was released the day after with extreme pain. Went back that night to the ER after continuing to throw up. They killed the pain for a short while. I am still having some pain, but recently started to have sharp stabbing pains that shoot down from my bellybutton down through my vagina. It happens when I stand up. I tried to call my doc, but its Friday and now 4 pm and they are closed. I will add that I had it done vaginally. Anyone know or hear what may cause this?

I'm sorry you've had such a rough time! I didn't have a vaginal procedure but for the first week I had some periodic pain like that. My theory was that it was my "stump" spasming and/or objecting to not having a uterus attached to it anymore.

Do you have a nurse hotline in the area or for any of your area hospitals? If you are worried, and the pain is getting worse, I think you should call someone and find out if you should be seen. Does your surgeon have an answering service you could call?
