5 weeks post hysterectomy: Bladder pain after TAH/BSO

I am 5 weeks post op and have bladder pain after emptying my bladder. Not the burning from a UTI but pain as my bladder is finishing being emptied if that makes sense. Also have soreness/pain on the left side from my hip area to up under my left rib cage. Worse in late afternoon and evening. Anyone else have this? I had adenomyosis with fibroids and scar tissue and cysts in my ovaries.

Would follow up with the doctor to have it checked just to be sure that you do not have any infection or problem with your bladder.

Wanted to share that I have been dealing with the same thing for a few weeks, but mine was not due to an infection. Was loaded with endo and adhesions, so my doctor figures it is just irritated from everything that was going on around it during the surgery. After reading some other posts here as well, it seems like a very common issue, but would still get it checked just to be sure.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Thank you! My dr prescribed an antibiotic and said that if it doesn't improve by next week to come back. I know the bladder gets moved around a bit as well as other parts stuck to and around the ovaries and uterus so I was kind of expecting to have some issues.
