Itchy scar at 5 weeks?

I'm so ITCHY!!! My scar is so itchy, especially in the morning. I thought this would be over with by now, but.....

Anyone else feeling this way?

So sorry you are being bothered by this itching.

Do you think it's like a nerve thing, or dryness? If your incision is all sealed, you could try a good moisturizer......that is what I used when mine itched so badly postop.

Hopefully, some other sisters will stop by with their own remedies for the itchy incision site.........s.Deb

Are you itchy inside or outside?
I have a numb spot right above the centre of my horizontal scar. But it's itchy....and it's been itchy for 3 months now. Try scratching that one!!!
Try Aloe Vera gel. I also use Dove intensive moisturizing CREAM not lotion.
Make sure that the area is dry after shower/bath. I found that if the elastic from my panties or a certain pair of pants rests on my scar, it is itchy.

I also used Oil of Olay on it. That worked for a couple days and then I switched lotions.
