estrogen changes take effect...?

Hi Sisters,
I've been really nauseaus for the past 6-7 weeks. My surgery (total Hyst) was 8.5 weeks ago. I've always been on .1 estadiol, first with Vivelle Dot and then Femring .1. Wednesday my Dr switched me to the .05 Femring hoping that it would help stop the nausea. I was nauseaus through my whole prenancy 10 years ago and he thinks it's possible I'm sensitive to it. My blood levels a few weeks ago were up near 170. He wants me to get my levels checked next week before I see him again. I've been on the new dose 1 1/2 days and don't notice the queasiness getting better. He said my levels shoud be noticable in 2-3 days and we should see the estradiol levels lower by next week. Anyone have experience with this? I'm making myself anxious 'waiting ' for a positive change. He's keeping my progesterone at 50 mg like it's been for awhile so we don't change 2 things at once. Help??

Didn't know we had our surgeries on the same date. Doctor put me on Est Estrgn (1.25 mg) and Methtest (2.5 mg) yesterday. Sorry to hear that you have been feeling nausea. Feel better

TinkerBell1972,
wow our surgerys on the same day!! Hope you are feeling well. I haven't heard of the things you're on. Hope the cancer was early stage and all is well. I'll get mine straightened out. The nausea is frustrating. My Doc & I will keep tweaking.
Take care.

Re: estrogen changes take effect...?

Howdy, I am using a mist--Evamist. Transdermal estradiol. Very easy spray on arm--let dry. Might help with the tummy trouble to skip the digestive system as a delivery. I have been working with dosing but it is easy to increase and decrease just spray twice or three times insead of one. Best Wishes.
