spotting and cramps

I had surgery Jan 9, and today im having cramping, spotting and discharge. I havent had any spotting since leaving the hospital. Its around the time of my period. Could i be having period symptoms? I also feel like im on an emotional rollercoaster the last few days. Is the spotting, cramping, discharge anything to worry about? Should i call the dr and ask them?
This is so diffrent, because other than having pain, (not a cramping pain)- pain more around the incision and gas pains, ive had very little pain.

Re: spotting and cramps

It doesn't hurt to call your doctor but since you have your cervix and your ovaries, it is very possible that you are having a mini-period. The spotting might go away in time but you will probably continue to have pms symptoms until you go through menopause. I hope this helps.
