Re: What to take to hospital??

I got shortchanged!

I didn't get any undies from the hospital, lol...

I just took my Kindle, my hairbrush, and new red plaid flannel nightgown and my red fleece robe..wore that when I left the hospital.

I used their toothbrush and paste, had basic makeup in my purse so I did powder my nose and put on lipstick, and had my favorite hand cream, a lip balm might be good to have, my lips got dry.

I was in overnight..so didn't need much, I was mostly catching up on sleep as I didn't sleep much the night before..

One thing I would suggest is a list of phone numbers so you can contact people...I couldn't remember phone numbers for squat.

I had a suitcase in the car as we were going to a hotel after my release, we lived a couple of hours away and my doc was more comfortable with me being close for a few days...but didn't need anything from the suitcase...

Re: What to take to hospital??

I was in the hospital three days. I only took my phone and charger and didn't even use that. I had my mom bring a notebook and pen to keep track of the names of all of my nurses. This came in handy when I wrote in the thank you notes and enclosed gift cards. It wasn't much, but being a healthcare worker myself, I know that they really appreciated it.

Re: What to take to hospital??

I brought my own undies. Hospital did not give me any...lol. I bought 2 pairs of granny panties, 2 sizes bigger thank I normally wear. They worked well. I brought an oversized T-shirt nighty to sleep in. Was able to shower day 2 in hospital so was also glad I brought my own little bottle of shampoo with conditioner. And my own deodorant. Had my cell phone and charger. Didn't really need much more than that. Good luck!
