Almost a 4 weeker!
Hi! I had my TAH-BSO latter in the same week, 5/6/2005. Am off RX pain, and only take 1 Advil in the evening if my back is really hurting. In being protective of my tummy, I've been straining my lower back. Have found the "Ab Belt" that came with some exercise equipment helps give me support plust keeps the back muscles warm. Feeling pretty good. I do get tired, and try to rest and not keep working. We have a B&B w/cabins, and no employees, so my DH has been helping me alot. This weekend, Memorial Day, was LONG and hard...but, we did it! Stayed in bed unitl 11am today. Not sleeping, just resting. No hormones for 9-12 months. Had several nights of drenching sweats, but that has diminished and I have a few mild hot flashes. Usually cry once a day...seem to have less tolerance for any "guff" from anyone.
Do ya'll still walk slowly? I do just so I don't pull anything, or trip and fall. I may take longer, but I get the job done!

I'm glad you're doing so well.I still walk slow from time to time.Just remember to take it easy and let your body tell you when enough is enough.

I Pixiebelle,
It's good to see that you are 'plugging along'!
I'm able to walk normally for short periods of time....30 minutes to an hour at a time. I do still stand up slowly, and I need to move around a bit before I feel like I walk at a normal pace.
I feel very good in the mornings, but I still become tired and swollen by late afternoon. I notice a gradual improvement though.......I think it's the gradual bit that irritates me...lol
I was having hot flashes before surgery, so even though I kept my ovaries I have still had a couple of 'steam baths' roll over me...I tell my husband that he is married to a 'hottie'...
My mood has been much more even over the last three days....yay!
