Feel very confused and alone

Hi! I had my LAVH-BSO on 9/4/09. I felt pretty good because of meds that day lol. That night I was having hot flashes so they gave me a vivelle patch. Saturday I really remember too much. Sunday I literally slept all day woke up at 12pm ate fell back to sleep until almost 5 that evening. Monday we had a bbq just taking pain meds to feel ok. percocet and ibuprofen 800. Tuesday went to work changed HRT to femhrt (which I don't think works). Did ok Tuesday alittle pain, but manageable. Tuesday night it was hard to fall asleep and I've noticed also that when I have to urinate I wake up didn't before. Wednesday I felt really bad I felt all of these dif. emotions at once incision started leaking more pain around the navel area I called in this morning I've been crying off and on all day feeling very irritated also, my whole body gets hot so I don't know if those are hot flashes or not. I'm going to try work tomorrow and I got my script for vivelle filled so I'm putting that on tomorrow. I feel very confused and alone because I can't really explain what I'm feeling and why I'm feeling it. If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts on this please let me know. Thanx for listening! or reading lol.

Feel very confused and alone

To LeLee80: I'm sorry you are having to deal with the different emotions and times of being really hot. It sounds like you went back to work really quickly. I'm sure that is not helping.

I think you are right on about the patches. It sounds like you went from Friday the 4th until tomorrow? My patches get changed every Wed., and Sunday. If it is the same prescription, your time in between went too long. You'll find out tomorrow when you pick up the prescription how often to change it. The patches have really helped me feel well emotionally, and I have not experienced any hot flashes.

I will say a prayer for you tonight that you will be comforted. I'm sorry you are having to go through that. Take care.

LeLee80

I'm so sorry you're struggling right now. A hysterectomy is major surgery, with the initial and vital healing taking approximately 6 weeks, during which time complete rest is usually advised. Full recovery can then be anywhere from 3 months to a year.

Have you found our <link> Post-Op Page yet? It's packed with information to help with your recovery.

Did your doctor clear you to return to work at only 4 days post-op? Please contact him/her as soon as possible now that your incision has started leaking and pain has developed.

Also, please try to rest as much as possible from now on since you've only this one opportunity to heal properly. Will you let us know how you are?

Sending all good wishes as you continue to heal!
