3 days post op...so happy it's over!

Hi All,
Just trying to feel better. Mild fever of 100 and pain in the puncture wounds is pretty bad. I was able to shower and take small walks around the house, but still no gas or BM. I take colace and I drank some warm prune juice this morning.

Can't complain...could be A LOT worse.

Weird surgery. Spent the whole first day sleeping off and on, drifting on a dilaudid cloud. Now I have some oral meds, but they don't seem to help a whole lot.

Welcome to the other side It gets better everyday hun just listen to your body and rest,drink water ,and rest some more. This is the time you need to pamper yourself and let your body heal Happy recovery

Glad you are done! It took a few days for the pain meds to work on me. Just an FYI! Embrace your time off. It goes by really, really fast! Continued wellness to you.

My pain meds aren't doing a whole lot either. They help a bit for about and hour and a half to 2 hours and then I am in more pain again. It isn't horrible pain, but enough to annoy me and make me not sleep until my next dose of meds. I feel the same way that things could be much worse. I can't wait until all the pain and discomfort is gone. Good luck on your recovery.

I am soooo thankful it's all over. The surgeons, nurses and the anesthesiologist was very kind to me. I do need to rest a lot. I think I'm really fixated on walking and walking, but then I get really sore. Maybe tomorrow I'll rest completely...maybe take a nap, too.
