Frustrated, hysterectomy in 2 weeks dont know what to do with forgeting the rectocele and cystocele repair (again!)

I have been scheduled for a hysterectomy now for 4 months on June 26th. I had a failed ablation, failed rectocele, and failed sling and an exploratory lap last Sept. When I saw the gyn 5 months ago, everything except the ablation was doing ok. Well since then my rectocele FAILED, and now developed a cystocele! I have been calling the colo-rectal surgeon every week for the last 1 1/2 month explaining my situation and telling them I had surgery on the 26th and would like to coordinate the surgeries together. They appeased me with an appt next Friday (5 days prior to surgery) Well made my weekly call today to see if they could do anything and was told........oh by the way, he is completely booked for surgery for the next 3 months and there is NO WAY we can work you in before then.

Ok here are my options! 1. reschedule the hysterectomy for 3 months out. Well work is a problem. I work in a small office and have someone covering me for the time off for surgery. I cant just go and CANCEL the surgery because of coverage and vacation times. 2. have the hysteretomy now and then have the cystocele/rectocele repair in a couple months (dont want to have another surgery scheduled) 3. what I am leaning towards, just forgeting the rectocele and cystocele as they failed the first time, why wouldnt they fail the second time. I am just stressed and angry right now and dont know what to do

I am so sorry you are going through all of this I am sure it is so frustrating, especially given your work situation. Maybe someone with similar repair issues will see this post and respond.

Discuss your concerns with your doctor, and what options you have. You need to make the right decision for you and your long term health.

This may be a silly question, and I may be completely wrong, but have you asked your gynecologist if s/he does these procedures? I'm relatively sure that your gynecologist could do at least the cystocele repair.

yeah, he wants me to see the other surgeons. I am not sure why? But i will see him again after i see the surgeons so i can talk to him and ask him again! Not a silly question at all!
