Type of incision?

Good luck to you Sweet Pea on Monday! I was told about the myomectomy, but because I no longer wish to have children and given my age (40) I ws advised by both Dr.'s that the hyst. was the most logical option. I guess the fibroids can grow back after the myomectomy and I would probably eventually have to get the hyst. I suppose it's ultimatley up to the Dr. I was also told the same thing-that he would have to decide once I'm asleep. Which I am also terrified of. I've never had surgery and had both children naturally, so this is a scary deal for me. I'm just afraid that I'll wake up with the vertical incision, both ovaries stripped and having some sort of reaction to something they've given me. I've got a great attitude as you all can tell. I figure if it can go wrong it will with me! Thanks for all of your stories, you have truly been great!

Sixe

Hi Cindy. I am having the bikini cut. I hope that doesn't change. I have my pre op on the 20th so that is one of my questions.

We are having surgery the same day. Sept. 27. God Bless you and let me know how you are doing when you get home.

Type of incision?

Bev,We are down for the same day. I'm just not sure if I'm going through with it yet. I do wish you the best of luck and I will keep you posted on my decision. Are you really nervous or content with your decision?

Type of incision?

I am content with my decision. I am sooooooo tired of the pain and not having a life with my husband as we should have. I am actully looking forward to getting this over with so I will have no more pain, more energy and a real life with my family. Make the decision that is right for you and not everyone else. If it is fear holding you back, pray to God and he will show you the way. Good Luck and keep me informed. If you ever need to talk, let me know... God Bless You.

Love Your Hystersister,
Bev

Type of incision?

Bev,
Thank you so much for your kind words. It sounds like you are ready to get this thing done. Let me know how your pre-op goes on Mon. I'm supposed to be having my lab work Tues. and pre-op on Friday with the Dr. I need to make up my mind quick.

I do believe that fear is my biggest problem. Actually I am terrified for some reason. I can't seem to find any peace in all of this. I'll keep praying and hoping to come to a good decision for me.

Cindy
