hrt

What hrt are you on and is it working. I'm on one to three pumps of elestrin and not sure if its working. I'm 98% of the time cold freezing. But I also am not sleeping good 2-3 hrs at a time, my whole body aches, have a constant headache, feel sick to my stomach, haven't had a bowel movement since 8/15 plus I feel sad a lot. Ugh what do I do.

Re: hrt

I wasn't put on hrt yet. My doctor did mention that I would probably need some, but she hasn't prescribed any yet. I am just dealing with my moments when they happen. I was concerned that I hadn't had a BM yet. I felt so hot and flushy, I thought I was about the pass out. So I called the doctor as she recommended that I try to stop taking the pain meds and take some Miralax. I guess just the mention of the Miralax reminded me of the bowel prep and I went. I felt so much better after. I would jump for joy if I wasn't scared something would fall out.

Re: hrt

How long have you been taking them? I didn't start mine until 3 weeks out. I am six weeks today and I am starting to get relief from the hot flashes, night sweats, cold sweats and the headaches but the all over body aches and the insomnia are still bad. When I asked my Dr. today she said it takes about 4-6 weeks get the full affects of HRT, so hang in there. Take care.

Re: hrt

I started in the hospital she gave me the patch. Now I do the gel everyday. So just not real sure how they will be working. Thanks for the info though. I don't see my Dr until 4 weeks. That is my first check up. Can't wait. No driving until she sees me.
