Re: Adenomyosis (feeling very tired... related?)

I was diagnosed with adenomyosis as well. Prior to surgery I was tired all the time. I would sleep all night, get my kids off to school and then lay down for a 3-4 hour nap. I'm just about 3 weeks post op,and feel so much better already. I am no where near as tired as I was before.

I read that adenomyosis cannot be diagnosed for sure until after surgery. Apparently they have to inspect and test the uterus to get an actual diagnosis.

Thank you estrawser! So wonderful to hear that! I want to stay in bed all day but I cannot with homeschooling the kids and taking care of my home. I want my energy back for my family. I want play with my kids, run, and jump

I read the same thing. That even with all the testing they can't truly see until they get in there.

Re: Adenomyosis (feeling very tired... related?)

Yes, that's correct... They can suspect adenomyosis but only the final pathology report can tell them for sure.

I had fibroids and adenomyosis, and before surgery I had extreme fatigue. At only 5 weeks I noticed a difference! I'm having intestinal issues now, but even with that I can still say that my fatigue is dramatically improved. It's wonderful! I was also sick all the time, so I am hoping once I get my bowels settled that will improve as well
