Bleed post-op at 6 1/2 weeks

I'm new to this board.

I had a total hysterectomy (LAVH) and oopharectomy 6 1/2 weeks ago. I had endo, adenomyosis, fibroids, and uterine cysts. It's been a slow recovery and I'm actually still home-bound. At 4 weeks, my doc said I would be good to go for sex at 6 weeks and that the slicing and dicing where my cervix used to be looked great.

Yesterday, I was on my feet quite a bit, but not really doing much other than standing and walking pretty normally.

Now, today, I woke up and found fresh blood. I stopped bleeding over a week ago. I didn't have a ton of blood this morning, but I just don't know if I should be worried.

Any advice? Do I call the doc? I haven't had any sex yet, should I hold off longer?

I'm sorry you've experienced this.

Any new bleeding should be reported to your doctor and it would obviously be unwise to attempt intercourse now in case this worsens the situation. Will you let us know what you find out?
