Post op, high blood pressure and anxiety

Had a TAH in Jan 2010, 3 weeks later developed high blood pressure and anxiety. Had all kinds of heart/blood tests everything came back normal, except now I take blood pressure meds twice a day.
My body feels like everything is on high volume, hard to sleep, relax etc...
After 2 months I decided to take docs suggestion and take .25 mg Ativan as needed.
As a result I can finally get some sleep and my body is getting needed rest and time to heal.
Currently I am not on any HRT, but concerned that taking Ativan may get to be the only way I can rest, so far it is. I've only taken it 3 times in the past week, but it is like night and day, I feel so much better.

Not sure where to go from here...the docs can't find any reason for the high blood pressure or for the anxiety either.
Neither were pre-op, surgical or immediate post op issues. They developed at abour 3 weeks post-op.
Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

My BP has gone up, relative to the amount of pain I am in. Is that possible? Stress of course raises it ... and if we eat junk food to cope with stress, that does not help. I speak from experience. Talk with your doc ... you deserve to feel better!
