10 days post op

I am getting better each day and I sneezed today for the first time, I felt as if I injured myself inside. ..I used a heating pad to sooth thr pain. .

Re: 10 days post op

There is no way around it that sneezing really hurts!! However, you are probably fine. If you get increased pain or bleeding, be sure to call your doctor.

Re: 10 days post op

Oh sneezes are the worst! I sneezed a blood clot loose at 12 days and spotted for two. At about 2 1/2 weeks, I got caught by a surprise sneeze in mid step while house walking -- put me in bed with an ice pack the rest of the morning! Be careful and try to brace yourself against a pillow - if possible!

Be careful with heating pads so soon after surgery, too. Have you tried ice packs? They were my best friend for the first 3 1/2 weeks. I still use one most evenings - really helps with the aches and swelly belly.
