PRINCESS?....I feel like a basket case

Hugs to Cottonro! I am also 2 weeks post-op (as of tomorrow morning) and I feel your fustrations. I have found that the world seems to crumble without the strong women in DH's lives, but they will muddle through. Your business is going to have it's ups and downs, and though it may seem like it's on a down side right now, all will be fine. My family thought that the day I was released from the hospital, that I would be able to resume household duties, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.. I have found a way to incorporate their help to get things done. I, too, get worried and anxious about my job, family and finances. But as our HisterSisters are saying, we only get one chance to heal right. Don't let stress put you behind in your recovery. I have decided that for myself as well. I will do and manage what I can. If I can't do it, then if they don't, it doesn't get done! Talk to your DH and discuss what you are feeling and do set up talk time about work and business so that you can stay informed, help make decisions or advise, but at your own pace. DHs don't understand the trauma we've just experienced, and the emotions we are trying to learn to deal with! Take extra special care of yourself and rest, rest, rest, and then rest some more physically and emotionally!!! LOTS OF EXTRA HUGS TO YOU!!!!!

PRINCESS?....I feel like a basket case

Cottonro, we are in the same boat! My surgery was also Oct. 24th. Also own my own business, also brain in a fog and my emotions all over the place! It is HARD to stay down, rest, etc with all this stuff rolling around in my head. But the more we rest now, the faster we can get back to all the stuff we need to do. At least I HOPE it is that way!! Lots of Hugs to you.

THANK YOU everyone for your kind words and support. Poor DH!!! He came home to a bawling, un-showered train wreck last night. I had pretty much spent most of the day in tears. He had no idea!! Over another delicious frozen pizza dinner (will I ever feel well enough to cook again?), I lost it!! I had planned to talk with him calmly and sanely and tell him how I was feeling, instead, it all came gushing out, not in the least bit calmly or sanely! When I got to the point that I could talk without hitching, we agreed that I could do some small things at home (telephone calls, internet) and that he would handle the big things and tell me later, or tell me when I felt that I could handle it. He has a few people he can call that will help us out with maintenace until we can find someone permanent, and he has already placed help wanted ads in three papers. Then he put me to bed with my best siamese buddy and did the dishes (threw out the paper plates).

I got to thinking last night, this should be about the time for my monthly visitor.....and since I kept the ov's..I still get to deal with the PMS. I am thinking that may have something to do with the melt down....

This too shall pass...... :eyes:

I'm really glad you talked things over with your hubby, and he's going to protect you from the worst of it. Now heal!

Sometimes tears are a help in getting our DHs to understand that we are under waaayyy to much stress! I am glad that you and DH talked and as you can see things are under control better than you imagined with the placement of the ads, and obtaining help until permenant help can be hired. This is your time to relax, recover, and heal! Please don't over task yourself at home with internet and business phone calls. Give yourself a time frame during the day with which you feel best for you, and then rest and care for yourself! Love and best wishes!!!!!
