Re: Constant bleeding from fibroids. How to cope?
i am 2 weeks post op - uterus and cervix removed due to heavy bleeding like yours. i became depressed, had heart issues, body aches, and then my hair started falling out and everyone said i didn't look well. discovered i had severe anemia and required a blood transfusion. the transfusion made me realize just how bad i was feeling.
my husband has been wonderful with taking care of everything - including me - and i'm finding myself incredibly attracted to him because of this. my libido has definitely returned, but we haven't gone anywhere with it. i am a little scared about how it will feel the first few times, but i am looking forward to it. i feel that just having the curiosity and eagerness to take things further is like winning half the battle. the desire is definitely there!!
good luck!!

Re: Constant bleeding from fibroids. How to cope?
HUGS HUGS HUGS !!!
I tried everything too. Even an Endometrial Ablation. Nothing worked. I also use BOTH O.B. ULTRA Tampons with Always Overnight Maxi's. And I still leak through. I've had tampons just fall out of me, as I walk along. It's just a nightmare! I am scheduled for my Total Abdominal Hysterectomy on Monday (1/24). I've had enough. At the moment, my uterus is the size of a 16 week pregnancy, I have 9 fibroids (at least 1 the size of a grapefruit), and Adenomyosis. I am 44. PLEASE KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE! There are many, many options with Hysterectomy. Research, get 2nd & 3rd opinions. But, do it! You'll be so much happier. Best Wishes!
