Post op 4 weeks open wound with pain

Hey gals,

I am 4 weeks post op tommorrow and have been doing wonderfully all month. I noticed though that when I was looking at my incision after surgery that on one side it was bumpy and looked odd. Now that has sinced opened up a bit and is VERY sore and bleeds a little. I called the dr.s office last week and the nurse told me to put neosporin and peroxide on it but it seems to be redder and hurts worse. I am going to try to get an appointment tommorrow but was wondering if anyone out there had this happen to them. Thanks so much!

I did right before my 2 week checkup. My doc didn't see any sign of infection and he closed it up with silver nitrate. It has since healed completely and i am at 6 weeks. with it being red and more 0painful make sure you call the doc tomorrow-you may have an infection starting.

The same thing happened with me with a c section I had with my son.
It started small and got bigger.. A way you can tell if it is infected is by smell. Does it smell kinda sweet? or feel kinda like a blister?
