LAVH: Upcoming hysterectomy 2/9: nervous! less than 24 hours

Please help me calm down? I'm freaking out. Surgery tomorrow at 1pm. Scared to do it, scared of recovery, scared to go under, scared to go, scared to be in pain. I do have panic attacks and severe anxiety already. Uhg I can't do this

Also, what should I wear?

Hey there! Don't know if I can calm you down but I am scheduled for LAVH BSO the day after you so I am so completely where you are as far as being scared. Trying to remember to take deep breaths when I start to have an axiety attack...think it's okay to cry a bit too. We will get through this! Best wishes for tomorrow!

Ladies, I am sure you will be ok. It's ok to feel scared of the unknown, even cry. As far as what to wear, jogging pants, very loose one, where perfect for me. See you on the other side

The nervousness that your are feeling is very normal. If you haven't already told them about your anxiety, mention it to them when you get to the hospital. They can give you something to help with that. Take some deep breaths, focus on the positives that having surgery will bring, find something to do this evening that you enjoy and that can be a distraction.
