Pre-op and Surgery

Hello sisters,

I had my pre-op today (8/5). No bowel prep, just nothing by mouth after midnight. Had blood work and No phone call from the hospital to let me know there is a problem so it must be positive results!

My surgery is scheduled for 9:30 am and I have to be there to register by 8:15! I found out that I will be having a horizontal incision (Yeah... I get to keep my belly ring - which was one thing that was worrying me).

My bag is packed and I have packed the minimum. We live 2 blocks from the hospital so if I want anything, I will have the DH run home and get it!

With the exception of the insomnia (which has been plagueing me all week) I am doing really well.

I want to thank all the wonderful sisters for telling your stories of your castle and your recovery experiences, both good and bad, It has really helped me to remain calm while I waited for my trip to the Castle. You have helped me decide what to bring... and help hire quite a few recruites to join the pillow police! Also had helped me to ask the questions I would never have thought about asking.

to all my hyster sisters who share the same castle date and to my special sister who travels to the castle on Tuesday! You are in my thoughts and !

Talk to you soon!

Margie

Pre-op and Surgery

Gosh -- you're probably nearly on your way to the castle -- (what time zone are you in, anyway?).

Place yourself in your surgical team's hands and God's hands now. You are going to do great!

((( Margie )))

By now, you should already be at the hospital but I wanted to let you know that you'll be in my prayers. I hope that you have an easy surgery and smooth recovery.

Please let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it.

See you soon in post op as a newly crowned
