Re: abdominal inflammation
Hi Everyone, hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
I had TAH surgery on Oct. 9th. Where the incision is, it is super hard. I do have swelly belly band, it feels good. Doc says that is scar tissue. It will go away. Does anyone else have or had this? If you rumb hard, does it help break the scar tissue down? Let me know if anyone has had this same issue! Thanks so much. I went out and got other jeans to wear. Was sick of waiting for it to go down and wearing sweats everywhere! Thanks so much! Shiningstarmk

Re: abdominal inflammation
Thanks everyone for your replies. I am 7-1/2 weeks post op and still have swelling. I feel great except for that. I will try to be patient and hope it goes away soon.

Re: abdominal inflammation
I don't know that you should break up new scar tissue or even break up scar tissue yourself.

Re: abdominal inflammation
My whole stomach has been hard but it is starting to soften up. I was hoping to have a flat stomach once I had a total hysterctomy. Maybe someday!
