Re: medication problem

You could try the vitamin route. Calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc. B12 & 6. Heating pads and ice packs. I was also using those stick on icy/heat patches. I suffer from constant body pains and these are all supplements recomended.
Seems like there has to be some pain medicine out there for people who can't take either.. have you asked a Dr?
Big hugs

thank you for your advice. the reason i had the surgery is extreme anemia to a point where my body does not aborb nutrients. b12 is one of them..the only meds are narcotics and im not willing to go there.

Smh has a good point about the patches. If you can't take systemic pain meds, then you're left with topical methods - cool or heat packs, creams/gels/lotions to numb the pain, etc.

My other thought is: is medical marijuana legal where you live? I know different US states have different laws. Medical marijuana *is* legal in Canada and some folks swear that it helps them when nothing else does.

Re: medication problem

If it was me, which i know it isnt, i would do the narcotics. It would not be for that long. I took some right after, but didnt finish the bottle and just used as needed. I hope you find a way to be relieved of your pain. I too had extreme anemia but not to that point, because of severe bleeding b4 my H.

Re: medication problem

well i'm in a custody battle too. i dont think medical marajuana will fly. but i cant even take anything for a headache. I have been lucky so far. nothing too terrible except i've only been able to go to the bathroom twice in 10 days. i do use heating pads and then ice. thank you all for the advice. :-) hope everyone is recovering well. my md wants to see me every week until the liver issue is cleared up and i'm out of pain.
