Pain with BM 3 weeks post hysterectomy

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks post op and I still have pain with a BM. It's like I can feel the stool moving down my intestinal track and it hurts all the way till I finally feel the urge to go. Then it's like I have to go ASAP or else I have stabbing pain. I'm assuming it's due to swelling but was curious if anyone else had this.

I am right there with you. Constipation and general digestion is a major painful event for me. Lots and lots of sharp pain - ,y doctor told me the inflammation will cause this. Boy, she was right. I take 2 stool softeners a day plus drink prune juice every day. I feel like I am going to die on the toilet some days. Yesterday was horrible. I broke down in tears with pain and frustration. Today is much better. You are not alone

It is just like I wrote that post myself! I had this up until just about 4 or 5 days ago. I am 5 1/2 weeks post op. Hoping it doesn't come back. I hope it subsides soon for you!

It is still an issue, but things are getting easier. My anxiety about it is decreasing, as well. I purchased an abdominal binder. It helps me stand up straight and everything falls into place. I am getting labs drawn Thursday. Checking my hormones as insomnia and night sweats have set in quickly.
Wow, you just really can't prepare for everything. I am blessed to have 3 more weeks to recover.

Yep, I'm there with you. I'm 3 weeks tomorrow and although it is a little better than it was I still have pain internally as I feel it moving down. It was white knuckle pain for a while!

Glad I'm not alone. I'm socked it lasts so long. It's definitely a reminder of all the healing going on internally. I today is 2 weeks and I return to work in a week. Kinda nervous about it to as I still tire easily. I'm a hairdresser and can't imagin being on my feet for 8 hours with no breaks 😁

I cannot imagine going back for a full 8 hour day in a week. I recommend getting an abdominal binder. It helps to support all the muscles, and really helps with pain management.
I had a complication (hemorrhage) which required a second emergency surgery and a blood transfusion about 48 hours post op.
But even without that, I hope returning to work is smooth.
