Tomorrows the day! confused???

I have so many emotions running threw me, im married but have no kids. My husband has 3 from a previous marriage. its hard to explain to anyone although on this site I know their are people who can understand. Im happy in the hopes my chronic pelvic pain will finally be gone, nervous that maybe im doing this for nothing because it may not get rid of the pain, sad that even though I knew getting into out marriage that we would not have children i'm offically saying goodbye to my baby maker. ( my husband had a vasectomy and we are not financially able to do other measure. It would be highly difficult for me too. And he has a lot of health issues. Anyway back to the point. Im anxious just a wonderful fluffy package of emotions. Then my doctor told me I could get out the same day or stay a night if I wanted too. I called the hospital ahead to see if i could arrange my room and a meal for my husband ahead so the poor guy doesn't have to stumble around. (he is 3/4 blind) , the hospital was nice and arranged it but said I wouldnt be staying long as it was a day surgery???

Well then.. I'd call the Dr's office back and ask again whether or not you can stay overnight. And if they tell you that you can.... ask them to please communicate that to the Hospital. Can you tell I was born in Jersey? lol

Lol I did call Im waiting on a call back now, im from ohio originally so I know many people Jersey. But I love the boldness you all have. (Im in texas now but note the "you all" instead of "y'all" I refuse lol) My main concern is I dont have someone who can help help me with standing(getting off the toilet which I hear is a main trouble area) my husband just had a procedure done so he cant lift more than 20lbs for 2 weeks but hes a wonderful man and he would and will help. I told the hospital im already stressed and emotional (that started sneaking up on me last night)

Re: Tomorrows the day! confused???

My surgery is tomorrow too!!! I too am worried about doing this and it not resolving the main issues I've had for so many years. I wanted to go home same day but my doctor is insisting that I stay at least a day so I guess I'll have to deal with it. My mom will be with me overnight. I doubt that they will be able to throw her out because even after turning 44 today I'm still her baby..lol.

I hope everything works well for you and all of our hystersisters. Wishing you a speedy recovery

Thank you, and I hope your have a speedy recovery as well. I hear you I have a very similar relationship with my mom. But shes in ohio and im in texas so a little distance. I know my hubby will be there if I am overnight.
Most people ive seen or talked to have stayed overnight but they said if you stay less than 23 hours its a day surgery, im just gonna see how I feel when I wake up. The hope of living without this pelvic pain is foreign to me ive had it so long.
