Those who had burch with TAH, did you have regular or supbrapubic catheter

Can you let me know which kind of catheter you had and how long you had to have it?

Hi there, I had a regular catheter that was in for about 30 hours. Emptying my bladder afterwards was a tiny bit slow but it did finally happen. I am really happy I had the procedure done.

mary, first off good luck tomorrow.

i had the cath that sticks out of your tummy, not sure what's it's called. i had it in for 5 days. i hated it because it got in the way with clothes(i could only wear overalls) and while trying to sleep. it was odd using it but wasn't to painful. when the doc went to remove it, it hurt quite a bit since i had swelly belly and my skin was covering the stitches that held it in place.

my advice to you is to drink lots of water because the quicker you retrain your bladder the quicker the cath will come out.
