Four days post hysterectomy, slowly recovering.
I had my hysterectomy on Friday, came home Sunday evening. Yesterday was a mixed bag, recovery wise. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling ghastly. Pain, full bladder, aching sore throat, chills, just bad. I took a couple of norco, emptied my bladder, then slept till morning. I started off strong.
I was able to give myself my lovenox injection without any problem. That was a huge anxiety for me and getting that done made me feel like I could do anything. I mostly rested between the couch and the bed. Lunch was an issue. I had heartburn all the way up to my throat. I ended up sponge bathing, then laid down for a nap. Felt a little rough when I woke up, but handled it.
Last night, I finally pooped. A lot. Like five days worth. Another big anxiety conquered. I slept, woke up, feeling bad. Dosed myself, slept some more. Lots of night sweats. Today, I'm getting a real shower. I did my shot. I feel really positive. I actually walked the stairs once. Pain is becoming more manageable. I hope all is well with y'all.
