Hi Ladies,

I had my LSH_BOS on april 6th and am also experiencing the same swollen belly. I can wear some of my losser pants but not my skinny jeans. i also wonder if it will go away, i hope so. I had lost 55lbs before my surgery, and don'y want to end up with a big belly. i know I'm being vain, but i miss my old body.

Ugh!!!

I find it EXTREMELY ironic that I look 6 months pregnant, although I just had an operation which makes that impossible.

Yesterday I was headed out to a coffeeshop to get some work done. After about a half hour of trying on stuff in my closet, I gave up, put my pajamas back on, and hit the couch. Whatever!

I had initially lost 12lbs then returned to my pre-surgery weight. As the weather got nicer, I thought I'd be able to wear all my spring/summer clothes. Nope - just not comfortable.
I gave in and bought some new things that fit well and I feel good about.

I'm with you!!

Yesterday my DH and I went clothes shopping, we are going on a cruise for 2 weeks next month and none of my cruise clothes fit. I am so upset about this belly, I feel ugly. DH says he doesn't care as long as I'm not bleeding and in pain anymore, which is really wonderful of him but I like to look nice and not frumpy.
Well, I went up a size and I know I gained 10 pounds, so I'm okay with only one size up but I know I won't lose by cruise time.
So we bought tons of outfits and they all look cute. Dh says as long as I am happy he'll do anything for me. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful husband. But I still hate my reflection in the mirror.

take care ladies and we'll get through this too.

I just went and bought a bunch of leggings and those fun tunic shirts that are long... They hide the swelly belly and are super comfy! Oh and stylish!

I had a gastric bypass 3 yrs ago, and lost 129 lbs. I carried most of that weight in my stomach, hips and legs, so when it left, I have lots of baggy skin. Nothing is where it should be. Even by belly button is way down on the saggy mess. I really can't tell if my tummy is swollen, and I can get my jeans on and zip them up, it feels like crap though, and I take them off real quick! I have been wearing the elastic waist jeans that I bought before I lost enough to feel confident enough to try regular jeans. Hope I can fit into my regular jeans soon. Today, I had a panic attack at the grocery store, because I thought my little cellphone purse, with identification cards, and credit cards, had fallen off of the scooter in the grocery store. I used my husbands phone to suspend my service. False alarm as I had left the little purse in the car. In my regular jeans I hook it on my belt loop.

Blessings,

Maureen

I am 5 1/2 weeks post op and can't get into my clothes. I have been depressed over it. My hubby just keeps telling me I have to give it more time. I still have to wear sweats and stuff. I am walking more and more each day and hoping it helps soon.
