Can I Drive Yet?

I will hit my 2 week mark on Wednesday but won't see my dr until Friday. I'm going a little stir crazy with kids on spring break and am dying to drive a little. Anyone drive before or at the 2 week mark? It's beautiful and sunny here in Florida and I want to do an outing.

Can I Drive Yet?

I was told I could drive at the 2 week mark. I had an abdominal hysterectomy. Thing is, I really didn't feel up to driving until 3 1/2 weeks afterwards.

Why not call your doctor's office and ask the nurse for some advice first before you just go ahead and drive.

Can I Drive Yet?

I was okayed to drive at 2 weeks, but just for short distances. I was not up for an outing at 2 weeks, so only drove to the store. I was exhausted after that. You would be amazed at how many muscles are used to drive. You have to be alert and be able to give it your full concentration. I would give your doctor a call and see what he/she recommends.

Can I Drive Yet?

I was released to drive after just 10 days, but me, I was driving after just 2 days...wouldn't advise it though.

Can I Drive Yet?

I had an LSH and was told I could drive once I was no longer taking narcotic pain meds.I think it was about 1 week for me. You could always call and ask, I'm sure they heard that one before.Take it easy though. I went on a solo outing a couple days ago and get dizzy at Target and had to get a ride home by my kid(17 year old driver). Very humbling.

Can I Drive Yet?

Two weeks today and I drove 3 times. I was fine but still got tired easily. This is not from driving but just in general.

Can I Drive Yet?

I like to think I am a pretty good driver but my doc said absolutely no driving still......been 3 weeks. Reason being he said my reflexes weren't up to par yet. due to medication, anasthesia, etc.

Can I Drive Yet?

My doctor told me 2 weeks or after I was off the narcotics. I only took the Tylenol3 for 2 days so I started making short trips (only a mile or 2) on the 9th day. You might want to make sure you can hit the brake hard without too much pain.

Can I Drive Yet?

MissKay, I have to say, I drank a diet coke before I got on the freeway because I was not as mentally alert as I usually am.
