Swelling
My reservation for castle is May 12. I have started to swell alot the last couple of days. My gp are leaving marks on my stomach. I can get up and put on clothes and they fit then in a couple of hours they are too tight. I know that I have endometriosis and adenomyosis is this normal? I am running out of clothes to put on, I am going to have to start wearing my husband's clothes.

Re: Swelling
If it was me I'd be on the phone to my Dr asap!
It sounds like you are swelling up during the day. Does the swelling go away overnight? If so, you might try taking a couple rest periods during the day to lay down and relax your body.
Good luck and let us know what happens!

Re: Swelling
It does go away overnight. In the morning I can put on my clothes but by about 1 or 2 I need to change clothes and put on something that doesn't hardly touch my stomach. I will call Dr. on monday.
Thanks,
Kim

Re: Swelling
I am having the same issue. I just have the uterine prolapse and the rectocele and cystocele. I have had others tell me that the swelling happens because everything is out of place. I forgot to ask the surgeon yesterday. With so much else on my mind of forgot. YIKES!!!!

Re: Swelling
I am having a LAVH but I have had 2 C-sections, with my first one I got really sick and had to spend 3 weeks in the hospital. Was wondering why the doctor isn't doing a TAH? Anyone know why?

Re: Swelling
I know this might sound crazy but, what types of foods are you eating at lunch time. I sounds like that might be where your poblem is. I am not a doctor but I had the same problem before my hyst. I had endometriosis and when I ate greasy foods or salty at lunch time my stomach would swell and I felt like I gained 10 Ibs. I would drink water and try to releif the gas pressure. Try to watch what you eat it might help!

Re: Swelling
that is great advice thanks. I have been trying to eat really light but can not say it hasn't been greasy. I will start to really watch what I am eating. Sorry it took so long to get back but been hurting last few days.

Re: Swelling
Not for nothing, but the oatmeal and chocolate fiber one bars are pretty good. Just remember to drink plenty of water with it. Helps with the gas and the bm's.
