Mini panic attacks

I am 5 days post op and every time I go to fall asleep I feel like I am having a mini panic. Like my heart is racing, a little dizzy and falling off a cliff. It happens 5 or 6 times then I am out. Wondering if anyone has this or if it just me. I did have a huge passing out/bp issue in recovery and it almost feels like a mini version of that...

I know the feeling you are having! I have experienced it a few times too. My guess is that it is just the thought of trying to get comfortable. I am still having considerable gas pains, so sometimes getting comfy can be hard. I also see from your location that we live very close to each other! Can I ask where & who did your surgery?

I got that feeling when I take narcotic painkillers within a couple hours of going to sleep. Perhaps that's it? I hope you feel better soon.

I did this a week out and then it went away. Came back with a vengance this weekend and it has been hell. Waiting to call my Dr in the am but something for sure is not right/normal. Hope you get it figured out as well, I know how upsetting it is.

The narcotics made me feel that way. That is the main reason why I only had 2 doses of narcos during my entire recovery. It's just been all ibuprofen for me! I couldn't stand that feeling!
