fistula and chronic constipation

I'm am going to a GI doctor for my chronic constipation. I also, am wondering if I have a fistula. TMI ALERT~when I pass gas, occasionally, I can feel air (gas?) coming out of my vagina. I just confirmed it while sitting on the toilet. It's definately coming from my vagina. This doesn't happen everyday, but occasionally. Is this a fistula?

One possibility that's not too uncommon is just a "normal" pocket of air that gets trapped in the vagina - any increase in intra-abdominal pressure can cause it to escape/pass. Only your doctor will be able to tell you what's going on, but I hope everything is okay.

With my fistula, I was passing air through my urethra, if that wasn't weird! I still (4 years later) get a bubbly/air feeling there and in the vaginal area, too. But, it was the air through the urethra that they were concerned about.

I have had chronic constipation since my hysterectomy. I take myrilax everyday and probably will for the rest of my life. It works wonders!
