Sneezing

Does sneezing still cause pain for some of you other sisters who are beyond 8 weeks post-op? Just curious.......

Sneezing

I am 6 weeks post op and I am happy to say that it no longer hurts to sneeze. Good thing too because it's now allergy season and I sneeze all the time. I believe it stopped hurting me around 4 weeks post op. Good luck with your sneezing and keep that pillow handy.

Sneezing

Maybe I'm just weird, but my body wouldn't let me sneeze for two weeks. I never had to., That sure was helpful

I remember that, because my first one didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.

Guess I got lucky there.

Haven't thought about sneezing

I'm 12 days post op and I guess I haven't sneezed since surgery. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything, now I'll probably catch a cold. I imagine that sneezing could not be any worse than the dreaded coughing they make you to to clear your lungs after surgery. 5 days post-op, I got choked and I thought I was going to pop something. I was in the living room and my dh and ds were in the other room. No one came to check on me when I was choking and obviously I couldn't yell for help. When I regained my composure, you bet I could yell them and did they get it!

Haven't thought about sneezing

If you thought coughing was bad, believe me sneezing is much worse. I had some coughing after surgery due to post nasal drip. It was worse than surgical pain. I felt the urge to sneeze a couple times in the days following surgery but was able to stop them. About 2 weeks post op I had a sneeze slip out and I thought I busted open everything. I didn't of course but it sure felt like it. So then I tried to diffuse sneezes as much as I could with the pillow. It helped a little. Thank goodness that improved. Now If I could only sleep at night. Good luck!

It's not that bad

I really shouldn't complain about sneezing as it's my only remaining discomfort. Thanks for your input everyone.

Hey Weasel, maybe it's something special for us February princesses!!! I was close to your neck of the woods last September. We did a hiking holiday in Banff and Jasper Parks. At that point, I just thought my belly roundness was due to forty-something weight gain.
