Hi everyone, it's me again...

I need to know if anyone here has Crohn's Disease.
I'm scheduled for June 8th for a total hysterectomy + ovaries and have Crohn's & Colitis. I'm out of remission right now....I guess my nerves and the stress of this upcoming surgery is affecting me more than I can handle....I'm flared up and have been wondering if any of you have this debilating disease and if so.....were you able to have surgery even if the Crohns is active? I truly need answers.....I hope someone out there can help me out......I just need to know if anything affects the surgery part.
Thanks again, justone10

have you talked to the doc?

Don't have Crohn's. Had a friend who did, so have a little idea what you're going through and understand that you've got a real problem here.

Have you talked to the doc? I can see where you might be afraid to say anything and have them reschedule, but you really gotta let the doc know and get your answers. Right there, that'll help your anxiety level.

I'm sure the sister's will have good advice for you and the someone here can reassure you.

Take care.

Hi everyone, it's me again...

You must speak to your doc about it. No one will give you better answers.
Hope all will go well for you.

Hi everyone, it's me again...

Hi Justone! I also have a good friend with Crohn's. I know that she belongs to a great Crohn's support group. If there is one in your area, maybe you could also ask there if anyone has had experience with this situation.

Of course your doctor is the best resource, but there might be other women with the same perspective.

I wish you much luck!!!
