Complications - when will I feel better?

I had my LAVH on Nov 27th. By Dec 10 I was readmitted for four days (would have been longer but I demanded to go home) I had severe abdominal pain - the doctors' theories are a perforated bowel that sealed over leaving behind infection and inflammation, a micro abcess that was not seen on CAT scan ( I had two scans), or my bowel was deprived of blood flow while I was in surgery (I had very low blood pressure and was in the recovery for 5 hours until it stabilized)
So when will I catch up to all my other princesses and be normal again - I still have extreme fatigue not real pain but discomfort. I go to the doctors next week and I'm due back to work 1/29 but I'm feeling I need the entire 12 weeks of Family Medical Leave and I'm wondering if he'll give it to me. Hubby says not an issue because I had complications that have delayed my healing.
Anyone out from work 12 weeks?
I totally expected to be better than before surgery by now - I'm totally bummed.
and if the doctor doesn't approve I'm totally poor - because disabilty won't pay.
Did I mention I still haven't been cleared for sex yet - and that's making hubby oh so happy.

I am so sorry that you are going through all of that! I don't know how long since I am only 3 weeks out from my surgery but wanted to give you a and tell you that we all care out here! Keep your chin up

On the sex front, don't feel bad I'm not cleared yet and only 2 days behind you.
As for the 12 weeks, if you need it ask for it!
I was off for 6 weeks and could have used more I think somedays but I've been back 2 weeks now and adjusting. (I had infection at my incision causing a hole that I'm still having treated).

I was ahead of you...Nov 14th...and had to be readmitted nov 21st with an infection. My wound is still not closed. It is small, the size of a nickel maybe, but not closed. I still have had visiting nurses coming out every day to do the wound care. I am back at work part time, but it is frustrating...you just want this to be over.
