Hysterectomy tomorrow (10/16)!

I realize today that this is going to happen and it can't come too soon. Today I have had cramps since I woke up. Feels like I am about to have my period. I have to say I am not going to miss this feeling at all. I had my pre - op yesterday and my surgeon is great. I love the fact that he likes doing his job to help women get rid of pain and all the various problems that go along with being a woman. Trying to take today to chill and just get mentally ready for this.

I have mine tomorrow as well. Im ready to get it over with.lol like right now. I wish you the best of luck.Today is my last day of work and it has been a little stessful. Making sure the temp is ready to go but after today-it wont be my issue if she is ready or not. LBVS...Praying for a safe and smooth surgery tomorrow for you. chat with you on the other side!!!!!

Tomorrow (10/16/14) is my TAH day. I am so very nervous. Surprised as I am not usually overly excitable. Well it is major surgery. I have very large fribroids, one huge one and one smaller companion fibroid. I am in menopause so no worries there. However my doctor wants to take my cervix as well. I just had a PAP smear that was normal and I am not happy about this. I have to say my concerns are of a sexual nature. I enjoy deep penetration during sex and feel that contact with my cervix is pleasurable and provides me with a lot of satisfaction. In discussions with my doctor he says studies show that orgasm is clitoral, but then he is a man. I have asked that if a slide of the fibroids during the TAH is negative can he please leave my cervix. This is a source of conflict for me and I believe part of my nervousness. Has anyone else had similar experience and if so what was the outcome? Or if you like me enjoy your cervix sexually and HAD to have it removed what was/is your experience now? Thanks. You all will do great! I am a week post op today and I am doing pretty good. I have stopped taking my prescription pain meds and just take motrin when needed. Which is usually only at night. At times I have to remember that I just had major surgery and take it easy still. I know it can be scary but once it is all done and overwith ya'll will wonder what you were worrying for!
