Re: advice about the da Vinci method

I just had my surgery on the 4th. I have 7 small incisions. But I also had some repair work done as well. Pain is rough at times, but no worse than my periods were. I actually expected pain to be worse than it is. I'm managing with 600mg motrin, have only taken 6 pain pills that were prescribed. My advice is to nap when body tells you, first few days eat bland food and take small short walks throughout day.

Re: Upcoming hysterectomy 2/19: advice about the da Vinci method

I had mine almost a year ago. I had to do a fleet enema the night before and no food after 10pm. My surgery was a breeze but took longer than expected due to massive amounts of scar tissue. Recovery was very easy for me. I was released for work after two weeks. I had 5 incisions, had a very minor infection in one. That's the only scar I can see, the other 4 I can't even see snymore!
