Lots of fluid, still using pads 28 days later

I had an LAVH on 11/20/14. I still need to wear pads daily, with several changes. My pad isn't soaked at all times, but there is still a decent amount of stuff, and I notice more of a "gush" when I first get up after sleeping or after sitting awhile.

It's not red like blood, but rather has a very light brownish tinge to it, it seems. It looks a lot darker when it soaks in. It doesn't smell like infection, but definitely has a strong sour smell to it. I brought it up to my doc at my 2 week checkup and he wasn't concerned and didn't see any infection. I have my 6 week checkup on Jan 9. No other problematic symptoms other than a bit of soreness if I overdo it at work that day.

Did anyone else have a lot of fluid this far out?

Ugh! Isn't that the worst!? I had a TVH on November 10th and I still am wearing a liner! It is getting to be less and less though, so hang in there! This week has been a big one in the decrease of leaking. You're almost there!

Re: Lots of fluid, still using pads 28 days later

Hi there, I had my LAVH on nov 4th so just over 6 weeks, my discharge, mainly red started on day 10 and progressed, at about 5 weeks post op did it start to get less and less turning light pink and then light brown, I have had none the last 2 days so I am really hoping that's the end of it? So hang in there and it should start to get less and less as the weeks pass
Heal well xx
