Pelvic Floor exercises causing wind?

Hi
I am 5 weeks post op,TAH BSO, and have been doing my Pelvic Floor exercises (I'm not doing Pelvic tilts yet) just internal. I find I am passing what seems to be little bubbles of air from vagina. Would anyone know if this is
because of the exercises? I don't go overboard with them I just do what is comfortable. I have a relative who didn't do them at all after her op and now she has to have corrective surgery for prolapse bladder. She advised me to keep the exercises up to avoid what she has to go through.
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

Pelvic Floor exercises causing wind?

I'm also 5 weeks post TVH and notice the same thing. I think it depends a bit on the position you are in. If you lie on your back with knees bent then air can be drawn into the vagina when you relax. Then when you tighten to do the PFE some air can be squeezed out again. Maybe try doing the exercises in a different position like lying on your side or half sitting up - see if it helps.

I'm also hoping that this goes away soon. I find it unpleasant too. I guess it didn't happen before because my uterine prolapse was so bad there was no room for air!

Also I think maybe less air will get into the vagina if the pelvic floor muscles are strong and the vaginal opening stays more 'closed' if that makes sense. Just my thoughts anyway and I'm learning as I go :-)
