newbie

Hello my name is dee. I am 33 and I just had mine may 11. I am about 4 weeks post op and its been a living Hell for me as far as recovering. I had a vaginal one done and during it I experienced bladder damage that had me bleeding for a week through a catheter. My doctor said it was a accident the nurses at the hospital did so my mearly 3 days turned into a week missing mothers day in the hospital. I gave had serious pain from bladder spasms and severe discomfort. At times I still have to take one or two heavy pain pills, other times ibprophen 800 is ok. I started thinking just itching was from healing when I visited my gyno she said I had no infection by any meandering, no uti or even bacteria. She was really worried I would be getting to much pain medicine, bit I assured her I was not taking anything because prior to surgery I was afraid of all medicine!! I'm so worried about my bladder. Now I'm having some pain in my chest underneath my left breast. I looked it up and it said it was either a pulled muscle or a condition from the kidneys that comedy from a bladder injury! I don't know if getting this was worth the problems! I had a enlarged uterus with a fibroid as big as an Orange on it. It caused me terrible periods that had Mr EMOBILE where I could be in tears and constantly anemic. I need serious support, pleaded help me to figure if I'm in a worse mess and how long in my conditions .is too long to take pain medicine??????????:-(

Re: newbie

I'm sorry that you're having a rough time with recovery but hope you can gather information that helps, plus support from anyone who can relate.

You're welcome to start a new thread on the Post-Op message board where members can reply. There's helpful recovery information and tips in the Post-Op Page, too. Please be sure to contact your doctor about the chest pain you're having so you can be checked out rather than trying to self diagnosis based on information on the internet.

I'm sending best wishes as you continue to heal.

Re: newbie

Thank you dawn! This is so great, I never seen anything like this next to Facebook! I will see my doctor Monday and Tuesday and I hope they can give me some advice. Everyone I see here in my week is doing so well! That is why I don't get why I'm still hurting..

Re: newbie

I'm glad you have an appointment to be seen. Not everyone heals and recovers at the same rate but it's still good to bring up your concerns with your doctor. I hope everything checks out okay!
