Just got back from Pre-Op!

So the good news is.....NO NASTY BOWEL PREP JUICE! HOWEVER, my surgery is next Wednesday and I have to be on a liquid diet all day Monday, Tuesday and until my surgery on Wednesday. The BEST news is...my surgery is costing me a whopping $0.00!!! It would have normally been a $100 co-pay but our insurance has changed and it is now $0 co-pay for outpatient surgery! Ok...so the yukky news is that I can shave my poononnie tonight, but then cannot shave again until after the surgery! I get to go into surgery with a stubbly bush! UGH! Have to do an emema the night before and douche the morning of the surgery. I can handle that better than that nasty juice crap! I am really looking forward to all this being done and over with so my body will be back to normal! Good luck everyone!

I asked about shaving too at mine today.
She said no closer than a couple of days before surgery.

Gosh, think I should spring for a wax?

Found out my TAH/BSO is not going to cost me much of anything either. Gives you a little relief!!! I am a Radiology Technologist and know all about the bowel prep for barium enemas. Much the same. Very lucky you do not have to do it. Not any fun. My surgery is May 12 and I have to have two enemas done on day before along with liquids....not too bad I hope. Gonna become friends with the "Jon". ha ha

Good news about the bowel prep!! I won't find out until May 18 what mine will be.
