dVH/RALH: Hot Flashes

I am scheduled for March 22,2011 for Davinchi complete hyterectomy. Do the hot flashes go away? I am done with menopause. Getting anxious. Go for pre op tomorrow.

It's funny because I never had hot flashes. However--having said that--after my daVinci hysterectomy, for a very short period of time, just a few weeks, I had them! It's now been 6 months since my surgery and I haven't had any hot flashes in a very long time! I think it has to do with readjustment of hormones.

I too was done with menopause when i had my davinci in october. I never noticed the hot flashes again until a few weeks after the procedure...then i had one week of the night sweats! YUCK....but since then i have not had anything.
Im just goin with the flow...not asking for anything to help me thru it all. I just want to let my body adjust without introducing anything artifical. Getting the "c" diagnosis was enough shock for me...and im trying to stay away from anything by mouth.
Trying to relax...and just let nature take its course. All in all,, friend...i havent noticed anything for a few weeks.
