with a TVH how does the doc see inside of you ?

Morning Sisters
I just woke up and was thinking about my hyster.....
I am going to have a TVH on April 11 and was just wondering if the Doc uses a camera to see what he is cutting ? or is he going by feel ?
I know with a TAH he can see it all..... but thats not how it is with a TVH i think, Guess this will be one of my pre-op questions for sure.
Any information would be great.

Good morning Barb,
I was wondering this very same thing..... If we don't get an answer here, I have my pre-op on Monday and will be sure to ask my Dr and let you know!

between the positioning the patient is in,and the use of a weighted speculum, the surgeon can see just fine during a TVH.

With the help from forcep like things,lights and other tools the Dr is able to see inside the Vagina.After he removes your Uterus, he will use some tools to push your bowels, and bladder out of the way.........he then has a clear shot of your Ovaries.

Its kinda funny that i never thought about it before. I was talking to my DH who is a paramedic about this... and boy is he funny.
He was joking around with me of course....but he tried to tell me the Doc will have on one of them hats that the guys who work in the mines with (the one with the LIGHTS on it) and the fact that they will use them weighted speculum. This will be one of my many Pre-op questions also.

LOL that would be funny.... but dont what to get DH started joking around. Seems like once he starts there is no stoping him... and my 2 younger DD are going to have their boyfriends over today to watch movies with them. We kinda need DH to be normal and not the JOKER he is... Cause he would sit on couch with the kids.
Girls on right side of himGuys on the left side of him. Be funny for the DH but not so funny for the kids.
