Tomorrow is the BIG DAY

Only one thing to say about the bowel prep.YUCK! Oh well, this is one last thing to get through before I am crowned. Tomorrow morning at 5:45 i will be in the castle and by 7:45 AM, i will be in surgery. I should be in my hospital room by 3PM and on the road to recovery. I have decided not to dwell on the aspects of surgery at all. i am just looking forward to a return to my healthy life. Praise God for the doctors who have diagnosed my problems and the surgeons who will mend me.

Best of luck to you, I know everything will go just fine. Don't rush recovery, rest. And post when you are feeling up to it. I look forward to seeing you on the "other side"!

The bowelprep is ugly isn't it!!?? But not as bad as I had for a colonoscopy! Wanted to wish you all the best. Prayer is what got me thru all this, along with my hystersisters, they are a true blessing. God bless you.

Hi LIW - one more day of agonizing! I am scheduled for TAH tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. and agree the bowel prep is not fun - but beats the downside if we don't follow orders. I am lucky that is all I have to do and the rest is done once I am in OR.

this may sound strange but had my TVH 10/12 and was not told to do a thing about bowel prep but quit eating 8 hours before surgery, when I got to the castle I was amazed that they did not do an enema either, when I asked I was told that it was not ordered... no problems either, and no gas pains!!! Do I simply have a progressive surgeon or what??? I had to do all the bowel prep stuff for an IVP and Voiding cystogram for my bladder prolapse diagnostic but not my gyn surgery????? Anyway, blessings to all and health and healing to follow!
