Swollen feet
Hello, Sisters!
I am 31 years old and had a TAH/BSO on 11/11/05. I'm doing really well, though recovery has been a slow process for me.
The past week, I have noticed that my feet are swollen. Not my ankles, just my feet. At night, after a full night's rest, they "go down", but then after a day at work, they swell again. (Note: I cannot take HRT)
I have been trying to drink more water...because I know I haven't been doing so well with that lately.
Any suggestions? If I don't see improvement, I will be calling my doctor on Monday.
Thanks for all your help,
SayAnything89

Swollen feet
Smart of you to step back up on the water drinking.
The fact that both your feet are swelling obviously rules out any blockage in your blood vessels, especially since the swelling is resolved once you put your feet up for awhile.
It would be a good idea to find time to elevate your feet as much as reasonably possible throughout the day, keep drinking the water, and reduce your sodium intake......until you can see your doc, who knows your history and can diagnose your situation.
Take care, Princess....... s.........Deb

Swollen feet
That is a very good Idea to call your doctor, not to scare you, but sometimes water retention may be a indicator of high blood pressure.
Just like Fibroid Woman said, cut down on the salt intake, keep off you feet and Call Your Doctor....

Swollen feet
Swollen feet alone is usually pretty benign, Are you having any other symptoms ike shortness of breath or heart palpitations with this? If it is just a matter of edema of your feet, its most likeley dependant edema meaning you need to keep those feet elevated more. You may be retaining excess fluid from hormonal shift as well. Thats my opinion. as a friend and a Linda

Swollen feet
Thank you, Ladies...
I am having no other symptoms than swollen feet. No chest pains, no heaviness in my limbs, no tingling...just swollen feet! i will be going to put my feet up, take it easy over the weekend, and calling my doctor Monday morning if I see no improvement!
