less than 2 days to go

Hello ladies!

Well the nerves have begun again! I already went through this nervous thing last week,up until my Dr called on March 26th to reschedule my surgery that was supposed to have been on March 27th. (I cried for two days) It was rescheduled for Wed. the 3rd. I have to be at the Hospital at 4am. :frazzeled: I am definately not an early riser. I am a night owl. I have read in alot of posts that you should get plenty of rest the day before. I know I will not sleep well, and my DH and I will have to leave by 3:30 to get to the Hosp, How will this affect surgery and recovery?
I am pretty much prepared for my trip to the castle, my DH has been absolutely wonderful through this whole thing, even with me losing my mind(this has been happening alot).
Oh! I have another question, I may be having my right ovary removed,if the dr does will I need to be on hormones or will everything work ok with 1 ovary?

Thanks so much for all the replys,I don't think I would have been able to make it through these past few weeks with out the love and support from all you and the

I'm a night owl too and understand where you're coming from. I couldn't sleep much the night before either, but got plenty of it the next morning during surgery and in recovery thanks to the meds.

Maybe you could ask your dr for something to help relax you the day before (since you have to get up so early) and you could go to bed REAL early.

Lots of women do just fine without hrt with just one ovary. It just depends on how the ovary that's left responds after surgery. Sometimes they can take a little nap at first or stop working all together. Some keep on working regardless. I kept both of mine & I felt like they went into a coma at first, but are doing fine now.
